When I Whisper In Your Ear Poem by Ronald Clark

When I Whisper In Your Ear

Rating: 5.0

When I whisper in your ear
Tell you the things I don’t want you to fear
Cause ill be right next to you,
ill be right here
So all the things you hear
Like the words I say
When I speak the words I love you
And here I am repeating those words
Here for you today
Again tomorrow
Cause what love is true love
That only last one day
Nothing so beautiful can be that way
So when your frozen stiff
With nothing to say
Lend me your arm
to wrap mine around
I tied your hands
And your heart is bound
But there is no need to be so controlling
When God himself knew
Love would be loathing
Love would be sacred
Not so easily broken
I only have one love to give
You hold my token
When you say that it aint right
That the bond we shared
Ain’t so tight
A good breath
In and out
Love is like a shout
Is love a verb or a noun
No one really knows what its about
Our home is our covers
We share a love within each other
So how can you cheat the love system
How could invent a scheme to break it
Your mind is lit
God, hadn’t intended for such wrong doing
Love is great
Love is caring
You sit with a smile on your face
While you make this love impairing
You keep tearing,
a hole
In this connection,
My body is bruised and sore
From previous rejections
Now you say you love my friend
I beg
Couldn’t you pretend
That it was my eyes, kiss, or touch
Or was it that I loved you too much
Theres nothing I can do about it now
If you want true love and wonder how
It isnt for money
But the matter is
If you see a mirror image of you
In another
Then the best hope is
You will love each other
Cause love isnt something
that can go to waste
There is always someone looking
At your same pace
So your bound to connect eyes
And here in lies the question
With a mirror image of you
If love is what your searching for
Make sure it’s something special
Worthy to pursue
