When Our Brother Went Astray Poem by dave lessard

When Our Brother Went Astray

When our brother went astray,
he was shunned and cast aside;
thrown from heaven, ostracized,
by arrogance and pride.
He started his own army,
and now we call them lost;
they sacrificed their souls,
and paid the dreadful cost.
When our brother left us,
he practiced his deception;
his colors were chameleon,
he had no clear projection.
He deceived us as children,
then deceived us all as men;
he's the father of all lies,
which go on and never end.
When our brother went astray,
then we all wound up in sin;
it's brother against brother,
and it started all with him!
