When Shadows Fall Poem by Timber Koleden

When Shadows Fall

Rating: 5.0

When the shadows silent fall
And walls standing high and tall
Are laid scattered broken ‘round
And are lying on the ground

When all refuge evades us
And friends have forsaken us
And swords shivered flindered lie
‘neath dark moonlit clouded sky

When all hopeless truly seems
And the sunlight will not gleam
And all sorrow's glass hail
Stings you within its sharp gale

When all heartless people strike
And the darkness covers in night
And you're drowning sinking low
And you're alone in the blow

I will surround around you
My cloak wrapped to shield you
With all beloved effort I
Will you carry ‘neath the sky

And I comforting upholding light
A lamp iridescent for you bright
And will lasting raging storm
Lead you gently back to Home.
