When Stellar Candle Burns Out Poem by Terence George Craddock

When Stellar Candle Burns Out

Rating: 5.0

when the candle burns out
when matter is consumed
past maximum point
of stellar consumption

or if a large star goes
supernova transcends
from mass expanding light
into transformation black hole

sucking in material
on event horizon seen

the crocodile in space
with sharp teeth strong jaws
was eating tasty stars
a metaphor for time
