When The End Is Near - Poem by Kristen Brewster
That feeling you get when
you know that something is going to come to an end
And the feeling of your stomach
You're heart following it down a
shaft of what you fear will never end, and that happiness
you once felt
will never re-surface.
But you hold
because you don't WANT to.
And whisper to yourself
just maybe, the connection will still be there when
the end has come. And you'll have
time to catch your heart before it falls
