When The Ghost Laughed At The Dogs Poem by Qiniso Mogale

When The Ghost Laughed At The Dogs

A pack of dogs saw a ghost
The dogs began chasing the ghost
The ghost ran to a tree and ran around it
The dogs chased the ghost round the tree
The ghost stopped but the dogs kept running
not realising they were now chasing each other
The ghost was amused
That is when the ghost laughed at the dogs.

Many resemble these dogs
They run after Illusions
They run after fables
They run after the air
They chase the air
They think they are after success
They think they are after riches
They run around in cycles
The devil laughs at them like the ghost
laughed at the dogs.
