When The Moon Turns To You Poem by Ayni Poet

When The Moon Turns To You

Below the horizon line existence is small,
From city to city one moves in life,
Beating the drums of a daily song,
Dreaming of cheers, gold and sugarcane!

She is the master of the tavern,
All drunkards would sell their lives
For its kiss which breaks all chains
And makes sober the dreamers!

She makes the blood boil with ecstasy,
She breaks the glasses filled with poisoning sweetness,
Her touch is the sunrise of the dead,
Her language is the elixir of life!

She gathers the lovers of Truth
Pouring them the Cup of Love,
By her hand one enters the Temple
And is transmuted into Light!
