When The Urge Arises Poem by Mohammad Younus

When The Urge Arises

When the urge arises
to answer the timeless call—
stand tall, look up;
do not be lost,
downcast, or small.

Life's melodies are sweet;
let not the breath of death,
the chill of fear,
carve through your spirit—
a dagger of despair.

Take a sacred pause.
Listen deeply—
hear the immortal song.
Release the phobia of endings;
know this truth:

Death is not the end
of life's running stream,
but a redirection,
a shift in flow—
a change of course unseen.
