Hopeless Heart

When The World Is Gone

When the world is gone
Who will hear your song?
When the world is still
Who will fit the bill?

As the light sinks away
No children will play
As the darkness creeps up
There will be no luck

The end of the world
And what do you have to show?
Nothing more than a few words
That never really mattered

A soul that is tainted
A heart that has waited
A purpose never fulfilled
A life so cruel
