When The World Turns Poem by Dakota Ellerton

When The World Turns

When I hold my breath..
My world tunes out,
I can’t hear anything,
I lose my sight,
and sink into my stomach.
I can hear my heart echo in my ears,
within seconds my head starts to spin,
my lungs want to collapse.
A thick smoke begins to coat,
my liver starts to drown,
my palms start to sweat,
my head starts to pound.
My chest pains keeps me up at night,
no matter which way I turn,
a sharp rip to flow from the left to the right.
I pull and tug at my sheets,
and so desperatley try not to cry.
For I am ready to die.
