When There Is Only Despair Poem by Shalom Freedman

When There Is Only Despair

WHEN THERE IS ONLY DESPAIR

When there is only despair
When every thought is a pessimistic one
When one can see no light anywhere
When one is shrunken down inside
And frightened
And without any possible way out
When this is what there is
And nothing else
Not everyone can delude themselves
And think
Writing a few lines about this
May help.

Excellent thoughts about the effective therapy of writing - it is a way to release the dark feelings and lay out on paper what one could analyze and possibly, resolve.
