When Things Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

When Things

Peace had always been
When seen
From certain angle
It was dreamed like heaven

What could have been better?
If it was offered
From point of strength
To take easy breathe

The bulk of the population live in fear
For them agony and pain is only to bear
There is no one to protect their lives
We only hear their woes and disbelieve

I feel shame
To claim
As human
When things do not move on

It is matter so disgusting
When actually relating
The cruel treatment meted out
The mercenaries are not to be talked about
