When We Are Older… - Poem by Charlie F. Kane

When we are older
I shall remember your name,
And I will say I knew you
Long before they did
When you started small,
And I shall say-
I was not the first to love you
But my feelings were true-
I really loved you.
I wonder if you’ll remember me too?
