When We Were Young



When we were young
And you were among
The new faces I hadn’t yet come to know
Across the room
I saw on you
The smile I would in time in love to grow

I think back now
And I realize how
We’ve changed in moving on from way back when
From there to here
You’ve given dear
Your best, your most, and all from some and then
