When Will Spring Get Sprung? Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

When Will Spring Get Sprung?

It is confusing when I look out the door
It is springtime, yet it is hard to ignore
The fact that it is still very cold and dreary
Everyone has had enough … we are weary

It is time for buds to burst and grass to grow
Soil should be warm enough to plough and sow
Instead we are bundling up to keep from shivering
Spring is a cuffed prisoner … it is really disturbing

This can't go on forever … we'll have to be patient
Spring will arrive … lovely flowers will be fragrant
The event is more highly anticipated because of delays
Waiting with praise for those heavenly warm days
