When You Care

A sign that forbids
Says 'BE EXTRA AWARE'.

So does a herald of love.

A symbol,
Requires serious explanation
Against misinterpretation.
Meaning is reversed,
Or expanded.
A tear on the face
Is a smile on the mouth,
Or better.

The elements conspire.
You consider our motives.
You dream of north from the south.

I like this a lot. Bit of an oxymoron. Thanks for your comment. Also a pleasure to read your poems Douglas. -ralph
