When You Least Expect It Poem by Hawk Smith

When You Least Expect It

So many days of this life ive spent alone,
paitiently waiting for her.

It happened when i least expected,
as do many things in life.

The weather was harsh that day,
blowing in a storm that would clean the skies.

Wind swept sand hit my face,
making my eyes shutter.

As they slowely opened i saw her,
she was as graceful as a flower.

Breathtaken I softly uttered three words,
perfect, beautiful, lovely.

Ive never known a love like this,
so true, so right.

Please my darling stand still,
so i may gaze upon you forever.
