When You're Old It's Time To Make Peace With Your Maker Poem by Frank Sheehan

When You're Old It's Time To Make Peace With Your Maker

Rating: 0.5

When You're Old It's Time
To Make Peace With Your Maker
To repent, make amends
for the unremarkable times

when you were wholly
given over to sin.
When you were a Hell Raiser
not mindful of Karmic repercussions

that would follow you
for the rest of your life.
It stems from wisdom and enlightenment
You're now more aware

of the evils that you were pursuing
while thinking you were conforming to the establishment,
being an individualist
Now, the time has arisen

for you to reflect, do good deeds,
follow a righteous path,
do penance for your misunderstandings
and bask in a heavenly glow.
