When Your Heart Craves Poem by Frank Sheehan

When Your Heart Craves

When Your Heart Craves Someone
it's hard to disguise
the tumultuous underpinnings
that drive your emotions

They are in your heart,
consume your thoughts
welcome a yearning
transcending daily circumstances

You can't pin it down
to concrete realities
but it overpowers
stares you right in the eye,

dominates your being
as rationalization dissipates
amidst tremendous pull
into an unknown domain

while your feelings
are consumed by this
indescribable intensity
that is preeminent beyond compare.
