Where Poem by Timothy Lee Hollandsworth Jr.

Where

Rating: 5.0

Where was the sky,
When the clouds came tumbling?
Where was the world,
When the ground started crumbling?
Where was that place,
We were supposed to meet?
Where was tomorrow,
When yesterday is still crowding the street?

Where was the snake,
That bit me so quickly?
Where was the devil,
When he came laughing so sickly?
Where was my sword,
When we started to fight?
Where was my shield,
When I lost the night?

Where were you?
I looked so hard.
Where are you?
It's hard to look when your barred.
Where were you,
When I needed a shoulder?
Where are you?
Everything is getting colder.

Where was the sky,
When the clouds came tumbling?
Wait, where was I?

I adore your questioning, your rhythm and your final line... I'm sure I've been an admonishing party to all of those questions... nicely done, thank you!
