Where Are You Now? - Poem by rachel carbis

YOU PROMISED ME YOU WOULD BE THERE
THROUGH THICK AND THIN
WHEN I NEEDED SOMEONE TO TURN TOO
YOU WOULD BE HIM

BUT WHERE ARE YOU NOW
AND WHERE DID YOU GO
THE MAN WHO LOVED ME
THE MAN WHO KNOWS

WHY IS IT EVERY TIME I TRUST
IT JUST MESSES UP
SO ALONE AND UPSET
WITH NOWHERE TO GO

SO LONLEY AND EMPTY
HOW COULD YOU LEAVE
THEY SAY IT WAS DIFFICULT
BUT WHO DO I BELIEVE.
