Where be the dreams
I had in my youth?
Those pale knighted legends
Defending the Truth,
The rescuing of damsels
In dire distress,
And the slaying of dragons
To insure one's success.
Oh life! Far apart
We've grown I fear,
And sadly it's worsened,
Year after year.

Very nice. Right to the point, has a good flow. And if you ever find the answer, please let me know. Well, I didn't mean for that to rhyme, but I'll let it stand. I enjoyed your poem.
