Where Do We Go From Here? Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Where Do We Go From Here?

We, wee! !
You've sold 'Indian-Hemp' for money and, you're still not satisfied;
You've sold heroine for money and, you're still not satisfied;
You've sold cocaine for money and, you're still not satisfied;
And now, you're sucking human blood for money as well.
Sadness! ! Where do we go from here?

The stories of this world!
In the era that mankind claims to know better;
But, in the name of the mad-rush for money! !
And, we turn to do whatever it takes.

From the corrupt mind comes forth corruption!
But, you're chasing after the shadow of death;
Because, your drugs are killing the people! !
All in the name of your money making.

From poverty to glory you may say;
But, money is not everything;
And, think about the people you're destroying with your drugs! !
Yet still, you're not satisfied with what you're doing to others.

You talk like a parrot and acts like a snail;
But, where do we go from here?
However, power to the people is meaningless if,
We the people are not consulted over matters.

Yes, those who live without imaginations do not dream!
However, the destruction of the soul is vanity;
So, stop this act of selling drugs to gain your so-called money! !
Thus, destroying others in this world.
Dose, overdose!
Think about it;
And, where do we go from here?
