Where I Ought To Be Poem by Francie Lynch

Where I Ought To Be

I'm close to where
I ought to be,
And far from
Where I'm from.
You don't have
To take my word,
Just ask anyone.

I've sought the plea,
Caught up the tree,
Thought the Dane's 'To be..., '
I've fought the weary,
Been wrought with envy,
I've even served the tea.
I've finished much along the way
To where I oughtn't be.

In conclusion, I've no delusion,
I sing 'Let It Be.'
I'm not outdone,
By anyone,
For what will be,
Will be.
