Where It Ought To Be Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Where It Ought To Be

Don't make it any harder than it is
you've played your part in this
if you aren't aware
you weren't playing fair
the warmth inside my heart
left this home sometime ago
Just couldn't be all you need
When it was found there in another
I've given chances for romances more than twice
And it would burn me to the third degree, it isn't right

I couldn't love someone
who would just treat me bad
I have no time for that
I would just up and leave

See all you have done to me
Comes with no apology
or i'll set myself free
There's no security
Fading into obscurity

Eyes wide open
Have there ever been love?
the spell is broken
Done been through enough
I had to leave
And once I go
There is no looking back
Heartache you can deal with that
Justify your actions all you want
You were no good for me
