While I Wept Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

While I Wept

Rating: 5.0

While I wept, I really kept
Emotions under control and slept
With single wish that you are at peace
It made me to think at ease

Not all desires can be met
Some is to be left to fate
Parents are our first liability
With their blessings we are happy

It shall be called unreasonable
If I see it as formation of trouble
Or simple attempt to exercise will power
I shall be called poor and miser

Heart may feel little discomfort
But it needs solace and comfort
With little understanding
Of known friendship unending

I shall blow along gentle wind
Feel no remorse and act kind
It shall play no emotions
Tears may find quick dispositions

Love and find harmony with wishes
It must be enjoyed like sweet dishes
Everything is there in plate to enjoy
Let us wait for opportune time and employ
