While We Had A Dream Poem by soren Barrett

While We Had A Dream

While there was a dream, it did seem
we were held together with cloud tethers
welding a strong beam
of sunshine in dark or stormy weathers

Torn promises, time's pockets robbed
behind broken rainbows lay in the path
stones sighed, clouds sobbed
watering fields of sprouting wrath

Kiss of the past in cement cast
Night's bloody hemorrhages expose the pallid face of day
clouds wispy knot tied tight and fast
until buried moonbeams under foot do lay
