While We Were Yet Sinner's Poem by Gary James Smith

While We Were Yet Sinner's

While We Were Yet Sinner's

While we were yet sinner's...
Jesus died for me
I did not have to work for rewards
My Salvation was completely free
He did everything for me
Its a done deal alright
When He cried out..."It is finished! "
He became mychief delight!

My faith's wrapped up in the Word
God's... forever record
He said that if I were to call upon Christ
My Salvation would be assured
Guess what! ...I took Him at His Word
For the gentlemen that He was
And now I am still faithfully proclaiming
The gospel of the Lord

Who would want to pass up on that Gift
That was so freely given
For God in Heaven to give us His Son
That calls for great thanksgiving
Sinners who are on a destiny
To a literal place called Hell
Can find a wonderful Friend in Jesus Christ
Who doeth all things well!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
