While You're Away...
It has been a while
since here was your presence;
and, admittedly, in essence,
Empty is this life.
Missed in your absence
is your wit and your laughter,
the cheerfulness you offer,
That perhaps time should hasten
For hearts do tend to yearn
for your return.
