Whishful Thinking? Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Whishful Thinking?

China speaks, a different tone,
Not to rule the world alone.
Not to stand on highest ground,
Where all the other nations bow.

But to ask, 'Should one decide
The rules where all the world abide? '
To balance scales, a fairer way,
Where every voice has room to say.

No single hand to steer the ship,
Lest others lose their hopeful grip.
But build a world, where all agree,
And power's shared for you and me.

A world where each can stand their own,
And seeds of partnership are sown.
No king to tell us what to do,
But shared decisions, fresh and new.
