Ode' To Smiles Poem by Joseph Blitch

Ode' To Smiles

The word smiles being so long; that's just keen;
Look between the two S's; there is a mile seen;
Grinning from ear to ear; a mile; at least a smile;
You can go from one to many in just a little while;

Always have a make believe gift smile in a pocket;
Give one; watch their smile take off like a rocket;
I'm one to tell a clean joke at the drop of ones hat;
If one doesn't drop; I'll drop mine; How about that;

Anything to put a cheerful smile on a gloomy face;
That old lifeless frown; with a smile please replace;
Watch how quick one's countenance begins to shine;
As a real pleasant memory is brought to their mind;

Wear a smile on your face; Be the first one to start;
Watch how soon everyone around will do their part;
Data shows; it takes more vigor and muscle to frown;
So don't worry; be happy; act nutty; like happy clown;

Soon most everyone around you, will be quite jolly;
It's a good idea; however a few may think it's folly;
The annoyed, frowning people I wish not to offend;
My desire is for everyone to be happy and my friend!

My desire is for everyone to be happy and my friend. True. I like it. I shared myself. I invite you my friend to read my poems and comment.
