Whispers Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Whispers

A shadow
Weightlessly
Crosses the width
Of a vacant wall

Familiar
With the home
Unconfined and free
Retracing
Paths of time
Searching
Unsuccessfully

Boundless…
Reaching
For answers
To calamity
The tree outside
The window
Whispers
Come to me
Listen

Muffled voices
Will no longer
Elude

The echoing
Of the truth
Will conclude
