White Eyes Poem by anna E

White Eyes

Rating: 5.0

singing all around... to an angel she see
a smile comes on her face
brightness on her face, but a dark shaddows lays on her shoulder
a stick lays by her side
Such a pretty face is she, but rejected those around her
Loved by the one above... simply she dosent care to hear those whispers around her.
White eyes
How can this be, one so small.... to not have seen at all?
How she achs and smiles for her.....
Singing all around... leaning into the the angel she hears.

Hi Anna - I am honoured to be the first to comment on this lovely poem and I have scored it a MAX (TEN) . When a child is born blind this is a great disadvantage in a very VISUAL WORLD. It can also be a disappointment to the parents and her family (Line 5) sometimes we can be very cruel to people with disabilities, Line One - Angels are generally invisible but when we do se them they are very beautiful. I love the suggestion that our little blind girl could see the Angel whereas those with physical sight could not. I like the last line because again she s comforted by the singing of the Angel who loves her. Love you in Poetry - JOHN
