White Lightening And Snow Flakes Poem by Vera Sidhwa

White Lightening And Snow Flakes

Rating: 5.0

I tasted drifting snowflakes,
And noticed their lace bodies.
I saw my room's lightening white,
Bleach-up it's walls so bright.

I had to chose between good white or better white.
The human tendency to chose then fight.
Still the question grew in my head,
Now I HAD to pick and choose, 'I said.'

The lightening shot right through my brain,
The speed of light was a speed insane,
For the electric charges darted left and right.
The flashes sparked everything within my sight.

Then the lacy flakes of delicate taste,
And shapes and densities of any kind,
Whitened waters of my mind,
So soft and white, hard to find.

Darting, lightening white,
Lacey snowflakes floating bright,
One at jagged and dangerous speed,
One slippery and soft indeed.

Now I came to realize,
Now it was really hard to decide,
That nor the soft snow nor the flash lightening,
Could be compromised,
Because they were,

BOTH manufactured by Heaven,
To touch, play in, wonder at and see.
My lightening bolts and snowflakes,
Were both chosen by me.
