Who Am I Poem by Roselyn A.M.

Who Am I

Rating: 5.0

Who am I?
How can I tell you exactly who I really am
I, myself can hardly recognize
The real me is just to fantasize.
Born from a humble town
My parents have not a single dime
To earn my degree
I worked at day and studied at night
Graduated with honors and medals
Got a job but not satisfied
Circumstances made me stagnant
What I dreamed of did not materialize
People thumbs up on me
But little did they know
What exactly is on my mind
I’m not as happy as they think I am
I may have all the things in life
A good husband who supports all my wants
Three kids who made me a woman
But a void lies here in my heart
I keep asking who I really am
But an echo keeps on coming back
I am nobody...
Without You Lord I am no one.
