Living Apart Poem by Roselyn A.M.

Living Apart

Rating: 5.0

Is this really the trend?
Be far from somebody
You promised to be with ‘til the end?
I can't believe I could survived
Days and nights without you by my side.
Always reminiscing
Our youth, moments of spring
We’ve so many thoughts that we shared
Even diamonds cannot compare.
Laughing out loud
Teasing each other, having fun
Those are the memories that fill me now.
You’re million miles away
Though we talk on line
And mail each other everyday
I long for you, miss your caress
Your warmth, your care and your presence.
Wishing the days would be
As fast as light could travel
So I could hug you
And be with you forever.

this sounded so familiar, but i see no comment from me below so maybe i never read it before today. i like it. it appears as though you've taken a suggestion from laura 's comment. i looked at her site on PH and wonder if she is still with us. i have rarely, if ever, read a comment so much like mine (constructive criticism) . thanks for sharing. :) bri

Little details: line 4 counting from the top: You wrote 'couldn't believe I can survive'. It should be 'I can`t believe I could survive'. Line 6 counting from the bottom: you wrote ' I misses', it should be 'I miss'. Line 2 counting from the bottom should be ' so I could hug you', because use the 'could' 2 or 3 times in the previous sentences. Keep loving, Rose. Keep giving. The love we give will be returned to us by Universe, may be from the same side, or maybe from a new side. Very sweet and tender poem. Laura
