Who Am I? Poem by Jacquie StewartHeimann

Who Am I?

A wife, mother, friend and aunt,
Sister, lover, niece and daughter.
This shows I love.

Secret keeper, confidant,
Therapist and problem solver.
This shows I listen.

Peacemaker, negotiator,
Pet walker and caretaker.
This shows I help.

Grandmother and a chef,
Guru, teacher and a nurse.
This shows I mentor.

A playmate, fashion and costume design,
Beautician, builder and memory maker.
This shows I'm fun.

I'm an artist and a poet,
Baker, crafter and creator.
This shows I'm cultured.

I dream, I laugh, I love, I cry,
I feel, imagine and escape.
I'm a stranger to myself.

I am what people say they need
What they want, what they expect.
But Who Am I?
