Who Are You? - Poem by Veeraiyah Subbulakshmi

Who has thrown their treasure,
on the planet of water and earth?

Who has hid their lustrous wealth,
in the deep valet of dark cave?

Who has pumped in the rationed air,
to create the protective atmosphere?

Who has spread the seeds of organic,
to sprout in the mind of inorganic?

Who has watered regularly with a notion,
to feed the flora and fauna with devotion?

Who has sent these species of selfish traits,
to spoil everything that are saline and pure?

Topic(s) of this poem: religion

Form: Couplet

Poet's Notes about The Poem

It seems to me that someone from the outer space had thrown the seeds to create the jungles, because the way the trees are grown in the steep mountain uniformly in many part of the world, it must be the work of someone who is working from the space.. In such a scenario are our great ancestors still there in some part of the solar system?

Marvelous philosophy inclining towards introspection. One can face such questions only after realization that a lot of intricate and unanswerable wonders do exist around us. Thanks for sharing. Regards. (Report) Reply
