Who Could Tell Poem by Ma Loreta Desalisa

Who Could Tell

Happy and full of anticipation was our first meeting
Together everyday unknowingly love was blooming
Destiny lead our lives to knot-tying
With faith in God the future was very promising
Life and work were all so fulfilling
Family grew abundantly with God's blessing.

Suddenly tragedy without notice came striking
The once strong body now without breathing
Pain and sorrow wrapped the heart that's mourning
Alone in the night you hear only crying
But the children so young made life worth fighting
Their innocence and God's strength bid me to keep moving.

Indeed life is so fleeting
Who could tell that you're leaving?
And who could tell where you're going?
All we could do is keep believing that someday somehow we will be joining
Our beloved in heaven now happily dwelling.
