Who Often Attends A Confession -
Who often attends a confession -
she goes there, as if to God,
and it's a little bit scary,
as if it's the end of all tracks.
Who often attends a confession -
she often abides as in heaven,
and knows that It is almighty
and people are children beside Him.
Who often attends a confession -
she often becomes justified.
And if you come there with agression -
the passion will go aside.
Who often attends a confession -
return with much pleasure to earth.
She knows Who returns compensation,
and also the way back she knows.

то ходит туда, словно к Богу,
и это немного страшно,
как будто конец всем дорогам.
Кто ходит на исповедь часто -
тот часто бывает на Небе,
и знает, что Небо всевластно,
и люди Ему все - как дети.
Кто ходит на исповедь часто -
тот часто бывает оправдан.
И если приходит, как страстный -
то страсти уходят внезапно.
Кто ходит на исповедь часто -
тому возвращаться приятно.
Он знает, к Кому возвращаться,
и знает дорогу обратно.

The adverb OFTEN is an important word in the key refrain that opens each stanza: it means that the speaker is continuously clearing conscience and making certain her relationship with God is true and right. She is like a soldier always on sentinel duty' a parent always watching over her baby; a business person checking everyday's profits. Such diligence is rare in earthly affairs but even more rare in religious affairs. The speaker is always doing MORE than she must do to fulfill her duty to God.This way of life is almost by definition SAINTLY. But even here the speaker excels religiously speaking: she is too humble and virtuous to take pride in her holy life. Or even to admit it. Finally, this woman is an example to others of a genuine Life in Christ, another achievement of the spirit that doesn't puff up her ego, but rather makes her a child who is totally dependent on God's grace. In a mysterious spiritual sense, she already lives in heaven with God and the saints, but she would never presume to say that! Those who know her are surely aware of the spiritual light her life radiates.
