Who You Truly Are Poem by Mal Sharp

Who You Truly Are

You think you have won,
Because I do not fight.
You know what you've done,
I tried to be polite.

You spread my secrets,
You told your lies.
You must need treatment,
You are pint-size.

You want me to shout,
Say something I shouldn't.
When I called you out,
You replied 'I wouldn't'.

I'm tired of the game,
Play on your own.
I know who I blame,
I should have known.

I shouldn't let trust,
Be given away.
Watch what get's discussed,
Watch what I convey.

You manipulate,
I don't forget.
You intimidate,
But you're no threat.

Don't mistake my silence for fear,
I don't have time to spar.
I'm waiting for you to appear,
For who you truly are.
