This is me.
The version of me
I have no regret
showing or sharing.
You might say I'm too much.
You might say I over-give.
You might say I'm too clingy.
You might even think I'm foolish
for being all of these things.
But...
when I love, I love completely.
There are no halves, no buts, no doors left half-open.
I give because giving is how my heart speaks love.
I feel deeply.
I care deeply.
And when I trust, I do not stand at the edge,
waiting for a reason to leave.
I step in.
My heart does not know how to love
with one foot out the door.
But somewhere in the middle of loving this way,
I am learning.
That giving my whole heart does not mean
I should leave it in hands that don't know how to hold it.
Because as a lover,
I need a lover who is all in too.
Someone who meets me with open hands, who doesn't make me
question whether I am asking for too much when all I want
is something genuine.
Someone who meets me at the same depth
I am willing to go.
And I am willing to wait.
for a love that meets me fully
than slowly shrink myself
to fit inside one that never could.
