Whose Heart Is Broken? - Poem by Abdul Wahab Sukhan
When I dreamt
You were also there beside me
in the warmth of my arms,
With your eyes closed in ecstasy
And… you felt everything
That I felt.
You explored every realm of dreams
That I did..
You too whispered;
“ We have two eyes for both of us
And not Four”
I too agreed;
“yeah..we have one heart and not two”
When those dreams came to shatter
You too experienced the torment
You too felt tidbits of dreams
In your eyes!
I too felt the pangs of parting!
I too endured a nameless heartache!
Now.. tell me..darling!
If WE shared the SAME HEART
Whose heart is broken?
...... Yours or mine?
Whose eyes to face an embarassment?
..........Yours or mine?
