Why? - Poem by Sarah Marie

Why shall thee
Have to die?
As I say
With a sigh

I am at my wives funeral
She didn’t deserve to die
She was a giving women
Very sweet and shy

O why did ye have to go an die?

I rest in my bed
That given night
Thinking of my wife
Why did ye die?

My heart is crushed
I feel I may cry
From seeing thee site
Of my wife, that died

She taught me so much
All through out her life
To love the lord
Then you will never die

I never knew what she meant
But now I might
But I ended up loving that guy
that was in the sky

So I fall asleep that night
thinking of my wife
Knowing That wasn’t the last time ill see her
In my life
