I feel you suddenly pull away
As if I've commited a crime
You say you love me always
But your insecurity gets in the way

You shake me up then reassure me
that everything is fine
If everything is so good
then why am I crying

I listen to the song on the radio
All the love songs have a sad ring
I think back through the years
and all I feel is the tears

I wipe my eyes and realize
I try to understand, then the feeling dies
Your love for me was a surprise
You say you find more in me than in other guys

You shake me up then reassure me
that everything is fine
If everything is so good
then why am I crying

I think of you all the time throughout the day
I smile inside when I see you
and it hurts more and more when you go away
Why do you feel the need to pull away

I drive down the lonely road
it feels so misty and blue
Like emotional overload
Missing you
