Why Am I Here? Poem by Gary James Smith

Why Am I Here?

Rating: 5.0

There are artificial pleasures in the world today
And that’s a reality
Men seeking and striving to find peace of mind
But all turns to futility.

It’s not in man to direct his steps
The Bible has made it plain
So try as he will to find joy in this world
It all will be in vain.

God Who has made man, and loves him so
Has given this guarantee
Repent of your sin and trust in My Son
And I will set you free.

So if you are struggling with, 'Why am I here? '
And, 'What’s life about anyway? '
Call upon God, Friend, He’s always near
He’ll bring you to trust in The Way.
