What makes you look so sad?
Wearing a morose mood,
Casting a crestfallen shadow on your eyes,
What are you looking forinto the blue vacuum ?
The bewildered wind couldn't make out
Why you don't respond to her cajoling touch as usual.
She advanced towards the flowing Yamuna meditating silently.
The moon cast a welcome smile to know how the
World was going with you.
You waved your reluctant hand to maintain courtesy.
The twinkling stars were whispering among themselves
Finding you behaving abnormal that very evening.
A stray dogbarked at you with a chide
looking at your joy- bereft face.
You could not make them understand why you were in a rejected mood.
You had just come from the graveyard
performing after death ceremonies of you mother.
How could you bridge the gap between mortality and immortality!
I am helpless.
I can only rain tears foryou.
The floating clouds repented,
" Who can bring back life to a deceased mortal being "?
