O' gaiety, the joy or the pleasure,
You being so much so well known and familiar to me
Having seen you for such a long time and realizing you too.
How pleasant had you been and associated with me
Right from dawn to dusk and in those dreamy moonlit nights.
Then why today you behave like a mirage to me
Or else like a picture post with no life in it?
Why can I not touch you now
Though so clearly I can see!
Why can I not embrace you now as endearingly as I did?
O' gaiety, being so lovable and beguiling to me,
Clinging me all through those fairy hay days!
Why did you then abandon me so untimely in a sudden?
After such a long friendly association of ours
Why today you ignore me in lieu?
Why so abruptly are you changed today
Don't turn and look at me for a moment even!
O' gaiety my love, why can I not touch you now
Though so clearly I can see!
Why can I not embrace you now as endearingly as i did?
