Why Cultures Fall Poem by Bill Grace

Why Cultures Fall

My daughter dressing for school
Struggles to change the color of
The bezel on her fashion watch
Given her by her mother.

I wonder if the intense young woman from China
Captured in the audience at Harvard
By the cameras at the great business seminar
Began her day with some similar distraction.
