Why The World Fears Us As In United States Poem by Bill Grace

Why The World Fears Us As In United States

Rating: 5.0

I was shocked when that distant colleague told me
That the world fears the United States
That conversation at least two if not three wars ago
But I think I understand better the comment today
It is because of the other theology that sleeps in bed with us.
It is the theology of 'more' - of having more than so many -
We still do not have enough.
It is Lyndon Johnson saying with great passion:
'There is NOTHING the United States can not do.'

I don't know about your 'awakened soul, ' Bill (as Ejaz Khan writes) , though your biography entry suggests that you have studied and contemplated the essential things - then you compose the awkward and shallow piece entitled 'Why the World Fears Us, ' which ignores all the good your country has done in the world! Today is the eve of Veterans Day in the United States, Bill - wake up!

The great country of yours has fallen prey to evil and has lost all the credibility, a very sad development indeed, hope more and more of your countrymen will see the truth and bring it back to side of good, if not, it will cause pain and strain to your folks, which are basic good. In God did you trust but no more.... A write indicating an awakened soul in you, thanks for sharing!
